Statement of Bishop Michael F. Burbidge on the Election of Pope Leo XIV
With great joy we celebrate the election of Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Our new Holy Father, who has taken the name Leo XIV, greeted the crowd in St. Peter’s square on May 8th, 2025. Thanks be to God for His mercy in sending us a Shepherd to guide His people.

Vacation Bible School 2025
Join us June 16–20 for Vacation Bible School 2025 at St. John the Evangelist in Warrenton, VA! Children entering kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to enjoy music, games, crafts, snacks, and faith-filled fun. Registration is open through May 23. Volunteers welcome!

Novena for the Repose of the Soul of Pope Francis
As we continue to mourn the death of Pope Francis, we invite all parishioners to join us in praying a novena for the repose of his soul, beginning Saturday, April 26—the day of his burial.
