A Joyful Congratulations to Fr. Jordan Evans on His Ordination to the Priesthood!

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, our parish rejoiced with the entire Diocese of Arlington as Jordan Evans was ordained to the sacred priesthood. Many of us have had the joy of watching Jordan grow in faith, service, and love for Christ, and now we give thanks to God for calling him to this beautiful vocation.

Before entering the seminary, Fr. Jordan studied Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech and spent two years as a missionary with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), where he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of Christ at work in others. But it was during a silent retreat in 2018, while meditating on the call of St. Peter in Luke’s Gospel, that he felt a deeper pull—one that would eventually lead him to leave everything and follow Christ as a priest.

Fr. Jordan’s path to the priesthood has been marked by humility, deep prayer, and a heart on fire for the Gospel. His formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, surrounded by faithful, mission-driven brothers, has prepared him to serve God’s people with compassion, wisdom, and zeal.

As he begins his priestly ministry as Parochial Vicar at Nativity Catholic Church in Burke, we ask you to keep Fr. Jordan in your prayers. May the Lord bless him abundantly as he celebrates the sacraments, preaches the Word, and leads others ever closer to Christ.

Thank you, Fr. Jordan, for your “yes.” May your priesthood be filled with grace, joy, and holiness!
