Faith Formation
Forming Disciples of All Ages
Our Faith Formation programs are open to all parishioners and designed to inspire a lifelong journey of learning, discipleship, and love for Christ and His Church. Whether you’re a parent, teen, or adult, we invite you to grow with us in faith, hope, and love.
Children's Faith Formation (CCD)
In our children’s Religious Education (RE) program, we partner with parents—the primary educators of the faith—to help children build a strong foundation in Catholic teachings and practices. Through weekly classes, sacramental preparation, and family faith events, we encourage a lifelong love for Christ and His Church.
📣 Registration for Religious Education (Grades K–12) is now open!
All parish families with children in grades K–12 should register—regardless of whether your child attends Religious Education in person, is homeschooled, or enrolled in a Catholic school. This helps us keep accurate records, provide sacramental support, and stay connected with your family throughout the year.
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Our Youth and Young Adult Ministry builds a vibrant community where middle schoolers, high schoolers, and young adults can deepen their relationship with Christ, grow in their Catholic faith, and form meaningful friendships rooted in the Gospel.
We offer opportunities for spiritual development, service, and fellowship through:
-
Faith-based discussions and small groups
-
Retreats and youth conferences
-
Service projects and mission work
-
Social activities and parish events
-
Summer fun like tubing trips, beach days, and theme park outings
📣 Young Adults (Ages 18–35) are invited to join us for casual meetups, talks, and spiritual enrichment designed for your season of life.
Apostolates and Groups
Adult Faith Formation at St. John the Evangelist provides opportunities for adults to grow in their faith and deepen their understanding of Catholic teachings. From Bible studies and speaker series to small group discussions, we invite adults to explore their faith, strengthen their relationship with God, and become more active members of our parish community.
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
Are you—or someone you know—curious about the Catholic faith?
Whether you’re unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or simply seeking a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church, we invite you to explore the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA).
OCIA is a welcoming process of prayer, study, and spiritual formation for adults considering full communion with the Catholic Church.
Sacramental Preparation
We offer comprehensive preparation programs for those receiving the Sacraments, including First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). These programs help participants deepen their understanding of the sacraments and their significance in the Catholic faith, guiding them toward a life enriched by God’s grace.
